Director Ms. Sheila Glaze

Dale County RSVP, sponsored by the Dale County Commission, was organized in July, 1973 with 18 volunteers.  Experiencing tremendous growth through the years, it now has 42 stations, 600 volunteers, and over 180,000 volunteer service hours yearly.  The agency offers numerous volunteer opportunities in Dale County. Volunteers enjoy playing bingo and singing with residents at three nursing homes in Ozark, Providence Home, Ozark Nursing Facility, and Oakview Manor.

Not only do these volunteers receive personal assistance and enjoyment through these RSVP activities, but they provide assistance for each other as well as many others in the community.   Currently, a major goal is to include additional opportunities to assist young people.   Volunteers are now involved in Phonics & Reading Buddy Program in three of Dale County Schools.   At the present time, Dale County RSVP provides services for many organizations and agencies throughout Dale County including: Vivian B, Adams School, Carroll High School, Flowers Center for the Performing Arts, Boy's and Girl's Club, The Settlement, Red Cross, Chamber of Commerce, Ozark-Dale County Library, and many other organizations, community and service clubs.

Dale County RSVP makes remarkable contributions to the quality of life for many citizens of Dale County.  Building on its strong 34-year history, it looks forward to expanding its programs and services in Dale County.
